Who am I?

Hello there! I came to San Francisco in 2015 from Iceland, where I was born and raised, to study New Media Design at the Academy of Art University. I played college soccer on an athletic scholarship at the only Art and Design University in the NCAA (which I’m super proud of!) with people studying everything from Landscape Architecture and Jewlery Design to Graphic Design and Music Production. Soccer has taught me the kind of discipline and work ethic that might have been lacking without it. Over the course of my years at the AAU, I had the opportunity to do internships and work within the design industry — little by little I fell in love with all areas of design and problem-solving, especially UX and visual design.

In May 2019 I graduated with BFA degree and later tha summer began working at Oracle as a User experience Designer. I joined the HCM (Human Capital Management) team where I am designing solutions to complex problems and bringing delight to the users.

I’m also proud to say that I fully hand-coded this portfolio website using HTML, CSS and Javascript. It has helped me a lot to learn a bit of development to enable me to work with coders and developers in the future while working in the digital space.

Feel free to reach out, whether it's design related or something else, I'm always up for new connections!
